Raphael Raybois - Karma Village

Rafaël Raybois is a young winemaker based in Sabran in the Cèze valley in the Gard department since 2020. After training among others with the Soulier brothers and Valentin Vallès, he cultivates, in organic and biodynamic agriculture, six hectares of vines mainly facing northeast. The plots are surrounded by hedges and forest. They are a refuge for many species of nesting birds, and welcome a large number of insects whose presence is encouraged. The vines receive a minimum of external inputs, in an approach to producing fertilizers and natural care products from surrounding plants. The work is essentially manual with very moderate use of machines and the doses of copper and sulfur are limited as much as possible to preserve the health of the soil.
